The 2 Seconds Or Less team is dedicated to empowering rural African communities to create innovative solutions to food insecurity. We’re on a mission to invest in the leaders of tomorrow, and we want you to join us.
Calling all high school and college aged students! Our residency has been designed for students who are interested in traveling abroad and building their leadership and teamwork abilities, while learning about topics that will make them more inclusive and competitive in the 21st century job market. We fill gaps of knowledge that are often not discussed in church or school, and give students the tools to be more innovative and responsible in their chosen fields of interest.
Passionate about education and using your talents to change the world? Do you carry our vision to end childhood malnutrition in the nations? We want to hear from you! Whether it’s for a paid position, a semester in Lancaster, a short term trip or a long-term overseas internship, our team has room for you!
Each year, 2 Seconds Or Less hosts 2-3 events to report our program progress and reconnect with our donors. Events are incredibly important for two reasons. First of all, as a grassroots organization, we’re passionate about constantly connecting with the community around us, and finding ways to fill gaps with human capital. Secondly, our events function as support raising nights, which helps us budget more sustainably and holistically for the coming year.

Our annual benefit party will take place on August 21st from 6:30 - 8:30PM at the Trust Performing Arts Center in Lancaster, PA. There will be culturally-inspired food, a silent auction featuring local and global goods, a wonderful guest speaker and some entertainment that is sure to blow your mind.
Co-founder, Christie Heimbach, is an experienced teacher and public speaker, who would love to tell her (and 2SOL's) story at your gathering or event. She has led panels and workshops for people of all ages, and has covered a diverse array of topics surrounding faith, education, justice, and leadership.
